Card Data Encryption Utility Information

General

The Card Data Encryption Utility collects the critical credit card data, checks and processes it and then encrypts it using a secure and robust algorithm. The result will be a seemingly random string of characters that you can copy into the form. The utility will not store any of the information. The card data can only be accessed by the workshop manager.

Usage

To enter your credit card information, first select the card type (only Visa and MasterCard are accepted). Then enter the card number in groups of four digits. Use the TAB key to move to the next entry field. Select the expiration date and enter the CSC number (which is the 3-digit number printed on the back of your card). Finally enter your name, as it is printed on the card (the name will automatically be converted to upper case).

Once you have entered all the data, press the GO button (or hit the Enter key). The utility will check if the card number matches the card type selected and checks if it is a valid card number. If the card number is wrong of if one of the required fields is missing, you will get an error message.

If all the data has been entered correctly, an encrypted string will be generated. This will automatically be copied to the Windows Clipboard. You can paste it into the form by selecting the Card Data field and pressing CTRL-V. If that does not work, select the whole string in the Result box, press CTRL-C to copy it to the clipboard and paste it in the form using CTRL-V.

If you do not want to include encrypted data in the form for whatever reason (remember that the encryption used is a secure and robust algorithm), simply leave the field on the form empty and send the encrypted string in a separate e-mail to the workshop manager (Dr. Graldine Lacave) at workshop@rosmarus.com or geraldine.lacave@skynet.be.
